March 11, 2025 at 5:37 amMy ex had doubts regarding me that I was cheating on her. A year back she bribed an airtel guy and he leaked all my call details like incoming and outgoing numbers to her. After that she started investigating after searching True-caller. She called a few females that how they know me. She found nothing. None of them who received the call told me about this. Recently one of them told me that she called her and asking about you. When I confronted her she confessed that she got all the details from an airtel guy by paying Rs 500 as bribe. He didn’t give printouts but asked her to write the numbers by pen and paper.I am feeling violated. How much vulnerable our details are. I dont know whether I can take any legal action or not. I dont have any proof just words of mouth. Plus considering this as a situation with female I am letting this pass as law always favours the female.

March 11, 2025 at 6:20 amOP don’t go by what people are saying. All those fraud phone calls that folks get by spammers who know your bank deets and aadhar, work in similar way. Some bank employee leaks it to these fraudsters and the telecom employees are involved in this. I have to say however, your gf is definitely tedha. If you’re sure its not your Gmail, and hacking shit then your sim is compromised. Sometimes if you’re criminally adventurous enough you can get a duplicate sim issued as well. You should check for that as well with your sim provider company. Trace the guy, get evidence file a complaint with the company, keep your gfβs identity anonymous to them. Then when you get their response, file a police complaint against the employee and your ex. -

March 11, 2025 at 6:25 amYou can get your call details by dropping a sms from your phone to Airtel or by using the airtel thanks app. No agent is required. If she has access to your phone then either she could’ve gone by the sms route or logged in to Airtel thanks from her phone. A few otps are all that’s needed to get call details.
No agent can pull call details on their own.
The question is – does she have access to your phone? If she does, then she can get everything she needs. And even if you revoke access now, apps like airtel thanks don’t get logged out automatically.

March 11, 2025 at 6:29 amThe bribery thing is very far fetched.
There are other simpler ways to find someoneβs call logs.Airtel app bring one.
Also there was this sms you have to send to 121 with some code phrase and an email address, which will return all the call logs to the given email.
She couldβve used that trick. (i dont exactly remember the phrase to send but yes this exist) -

March 11, 2025 at 6:48 amGetting call records is very difficult.
Even police and telecom operators are not at liberty to do this.. if caught, there can be fraudulent cases filed against such culprits as it is a crime to leak private data .
She is just messing with you. -

March 11, 2025 at 6:53 amLmao she is lying about that Airtel guy. Just read your comments that she has 6 months old history of your call records too, and you mentioned the guy didn’t give printout, she had to write it down right? That’s way too much work. I feel like she is hiding something like she probably have access to your Gmail account and that is syncing the history to some other device where she can spy on u.-

March 11, 2025 at 7:01 amYou should file a complaint with airtel first if you have proof of her accepting it, and be stern that you will take legal actions if they donβt get to the end of this. If you could get the name of the person she bribed that will be better. The law might favour women when it comes to stalking but you are a customer this clear breach of companyβs obligation. -

March 11, 2025 at 7:19 amI can understand how violated and frustrated you must be feeling. It is not a good thing that your private call details leaked like that is a huge breach of trust and policy. It’s scary to think how easily personal information can be accessed with just a small bribe and you don’t have any proof. But, I think you have right to report this to Head of Airtel. If you feel like taking action, donβt hesitate to seek legal advice after all your privacy matters. -

March 11, 2025 at 8:50 amI have done something similar so the best way to do this is send an sms from your phone. This sms contains month and email where call details need to be sent. Password is generally your date of birth, which again is shared with you in sms by airtel in the next few minutes. So, for airtel all you gotta do is get access to the phone for a few minutes.Won’t comment if this is ethically correct as I have done the same. In my case, I found her cheating (sleeping) with multiple men. So I don’t see what I did was ethically wrong.

March 11, 2025 at 8:57 amContact a lawyer and also write to airtel. Give them a rough timeline of when the data was leaked and airtel should be able to check who accessed your details. Airtel logs all the accessed details of a number. -

Needless to say very less of this activity was actually done on security threats to the nation, but a lot of work was done on stuff like this, but at a much higher levelΒ

March 11, 2025 at 10:17 amFile a complaint against her. Did you get to know this on chat/call?The girls she contacted, discreetly lead them to speak about this situation (some on call and some on chat) record them as proof.
The police will sort out the rest. Better yet, get a lawyer and file a complaint directly. She has commited a crime.
And if it indeed is that she got these from airtel. Use her testimony to sue airtel for leaking your data. You are likely to get a good compensation from airtel. More so if they want to settle this out of court.
It will be a little bit of work, but you stand to gain a lot I believe.

March 11, 2025 at 10:39 amI have worked in telecom sector in the past. It is extremely difficult to get call details. You need permission from atleast DCP level office with a proper warrant. The command which gives out the details is highly restricted and only a few people are allowed. If some one does it, its a massive crime.I think your wife is lying, she may have got hold of your itemized bill with call details or through normal phone snooping. Airtel story is highly improbable.

March 11, 2025 at 6:06 pmNAL,But can assure you, it’s not someone from the telecom operator. It’s your fault, she had access to your Data and phone.
1) She installed a spyware app on your Android phone.
Remedy – Clean out your phone with the help of an IT guy or Just change the phone.
2) Synced your mail account to another device.
Remedy – Check your mail sync and unsync your call logs or any automatic data sharing to mail.
3) Easiest – One can easily access call logs using telecom apps. My colleague uses My Jio app to check call details.
Remedy – Just login with another device and remove the app from all devices.

March 11, 2025 at 7:39 pmI would be surprised if airtel doesn’t have proper access control for customer sensitive data for low level employees. These things are generally audited in large companies.
