        Hi everyone,

Iโ€™m not sure if this is the right place to post, but Iโ€™d really appreciate some advice.

Some background: My family (my mother, elder brother, and I) live in a small residential locality just a few minutes outside the main city of Mumbai. Between 2012 and 2014, we had employed a driver who initially seemed decent but gradually developed a serious drinking problem. Toward the end of his employment, he would often show up reeking of alcohol. Naturally, my father (who works in the UAE) decided to terminate his services. At the time of his dismissal, he also owed us about โ‚น30,000 and left on poor terms. Since then, weโ€™ve had no contact with him.

Fast forward to yesterday evening – this same man showed up at our building in an intoxicated state, asking to speak with my mother. Thankfully, our night watchman intervened and refused to let him in. He left soon after.

This morning, we discovered multiple screws intentionally lodged into the tyres of our car, and we strongly suspect this was done by him out of spite.

Weโ€™ve requested the CCTV footage from last night and are planning to file an official police complaint against him.

Iโ€™m looking for advice on what else we can do to ensure our familyโ€™s safety and prevent further incidents.
If anyone has gone through something similar or has legal insight, Iโ€™d really appreciate your guidance.

        Thanks in advance.

Decent way would be to file a police complaint if you get the proof that it was him. Other way would the more aggressive one. Putting your driver in position where he decides if confronting you guys and even thinking of crossing your path is worth the trouble. Hope you understand what I’m saying.

Former disgruntled employees do tend to do this sometimes. Cops is the only way. Exercise caution from your side going forward.
