April 29, 2025 at 5:24 pmHi all, I was wrongly incriminated in an FIR, along with my dad (main culprit) after he borrowed some money from someone and didn’t cooperate with them to return it. My name was included in the FIR to pressurise my dad into cooperating and paying back everything. I wasn’t even present in the city (Mumbai) when the FIR was registered and I had to file for an anticipatory bail from another city. The case is still ongoing as my dad hasn’t returned the full amount yet and doing so will take more time. So I want to quash the FIR under my name and want to do it in a cost-effective way if possible, and quickly (again, if possible). I have talked to a few lawyers in Mumbai but their fees are blatantly exorbitant and in my opinion isn’t at all justified.Would really appreciate if all of you could point me to some lawyers that can advise and take me on as a client to quash the FIR in Mumbai. Will provide proper details if needed!
Thanks!

April 29, 2025 at 5:35 pmHi. Iβm a Delhi based lawyer, and I do know a couple of good lawyers in Mumbai. Not sure whatβs the fee structure youβre looking at for quashing but generally no one does it at a super minimal fee. Drafting it is hard work and it involves research, arguments etc, which is again a lot of work. So even the most reasonable lawyer will charge a bit.
