May 9, 2025 at 9:27 amLocation: Indiahi all, my family has moved to Netherlands due to my father job. He had applied for a family (dependent) visa through his employer for me. However the visa was rejected and this was response we received.
[disappointing news regarding your daughter’s visa – from Lawyer – let me know when you are free for a call I received, completely to my surprise (!), the negative decision of the IND regarding the residence permit application of (my name) . Please find this decision negative decision enclosed. The IND refused the application, because (in brief) the Netherlands is not obliged to respect the family life of an adult child with her parents in the Netherlands. It is in the Dutch interest to refuse the application in order to protect the Dutch labour market, education systeem and also the current housing crisis/situation in the Netherlands. Besides this the IND is saying that there are no obstacles to live as a family in India and that it is your decision to move to the Netherlands with your whole family and the Dutch state is legally not obliged to accept that. This decision can be seen as the new political climate in the Netherlands by which the Netherlands want to limit labour migration and family reunification of adult children. We have the possibility to challenge this decision of the IND via a complaint procedure within 4 weeks. The IND has 19 weeks to assess this complaint. When they refuse (again) the application during this complaint procedure, we have the possibility to challenge this decision at court. I see options to challenge this decision successfully at the IND and/or (later on) at court. I can assist you with this first complaint procedure. I do understand that you are (really) disappointed about this negative decision, but this is really the new political reality in the Netherlands I have to say]
The results of appeal shall come in mid October , what can I anticipate depending on current situation, my age and citizenship.

You can apply for a student visa if you are studying.
