Father has been falsely accused of approving poor quality material in construction of a building which resulted in cracks and poor quality. Now he’s been charged by cbi for ipc 409 ,so is life imprisontment likely?

Mate, you will have to prove it ? When & how it was forged? There are handwriting experts for this.
Moreover, considering how all the folks in PWD work, there is barely 0.01% are honest.

Yes my father is innocent, it was a big project and many people around 20 atleast were on that project yet his name only popped up as he approved those materials?

approving sub-standard materials is rampant among public officers. it is just unlucky that your father got caught. try to show if possible that such quality levels were also approved by other officers.

My father is not the one who approved it. He’s been scapegoated. He never worked on that project where he was approving of the materials

See, it all depends on who approved the use of the materials was the decision taken solely by your father? There are many other questions as well. So, it can’t be determined like that without knowing the facts, the actual situation on the ground, and the specific charges involved

Why would CBI charge him without materials to support it? If the case is frivolous you have nothing to worry about. Just hire a good lawyer.
