March 30, 2025 at 9:33 amI recently bought a pack of Indomie Mi Goreng instant noodles, and when I opened the sealed package, I saw a fly-like insect crawl out and fly away. At first, I thought I might have imagined it, but when I checked inside, I found a cocoon-like structure in the packaging. Upon further inspection, the entire brick of noodles had visible signs of being eaten/damaged by the insect. This was absolutely disgusting and has made me seriously question the quality control of this product. The packaging states that it was imported and marketed in Perinthalmanna, Malappuram (Kerala), so I’m assuming this is where it was distributed from.
I have already drafted an email to the customer care of the company asking for an explanation, but I also want to know what other actions I can take. Should I report this to any consumer protection authority? Has anyone else faced a similar issue with Indomie or any other instant noodles?
Any advice would be appreciated! Also, I have taken photos of the cocoon, the damaged noodles, and the packaging if that helps in any way.
Thanks in advance!
