Fraud, money not returning

I’ve sent someone x amount of money on a verbal request and they agreed to pay it back in 5-6 months. Now they are not returning it. I have payment proofs and WhatsApp chats in which they agreed to return. What can I do legally for this ?

Tip for next time – Only lend that much amount to known connects as much as you’re willing to forego.

Anything that doesn’t involve a lawyer. Can I file a FIR or cyber crime (I transferred money online) or something else ?

Cyber crime is where someone duped you..Here u sent them money urself.. u are urself to blame
