Friend Left Home After Fighting With His Father – Now They’re Blaming Me

Hey everyone, I need urgent advice.

I went to meet my friend just to give him his vehicle keys, but while I was there, he got into a fight with his father. I wasn’t involved, but I tried to calm things down. Things escalated, and they went to the police station, mentioning my vehicle number in their report.

Now, my friend has left his house, and his father told me, “If he does anything to himself, it’s your fault.” I don’t understand why they’re dragging me into this—I was just a bystander.

I’m really worried about my friend’s safety, but I’m also scared they might try to blame me for something I had nothing to do with. Could this lead to legal trouble for me? What should I do next?

Any advice would be really helpful. Thanks!

You’re nowhere responsible for anything. If you’re worried you can go to the cops and let them know about it.

I’m just scared because he recorded my vehicle number and threatens me, saying that if anything happens to him, it’s my fault.
