Friend not returning money

2 years back i gave my friend some cryptocurrency worth around 3.5 lacs om the pretext of him investing it for me and getting me good profit. The said crypto increased in price to around 6 lacs now but he’s saying he got scammed himself and lost 20 lacs of his money and the one i gave. I asked him for proof and he did show me that he indeed got scammed. Now i want the money back and he is saying he is broke. What course of action can i take as the deal wasnt done in INR but crypto currency. I dont pay tax on my crypto income aswell and neither does he

I lent 7k to a friend in 2011, when I used to earn 32k. I never got my money back. The friend blocked me from everywhere.

I learned a lesson early on to only lend the amount which you can afford to lose. From that day onwards I have only lent money which I could afford to lose and fortunately I always got my money back. Other times I have shamelessly said no even if it meant losing friendship.

No course of action. You put your money in something and it bombed. Taking the L here is your best option
