Friend Sent Fake Debt collection Messages Impersonating Me

My friend sent false debt collection messages using an app named “MakeMyPayment” and sent calls and messages using my name to other people. He demanded 1L rupees, and these messages were sent to 6 people whom I know. He said that he was testing this app and didn’t have no intentions for this, but this made me mad because he sent messages using My name instead of his. Thus I wanna file a case of cybercrime. Please help me how should I proceed ahead, where to file such a case and what would be the legal action taken??
