February 12, 2025 at 7:43 amMy father in law purchased a shop in an under construction mall in 2014. He cleared 90% of part payments as well. But due to COVID restrictions and later his deteriorating health he never followed up. Fast forward to today we went to clear the amount and get possession of the shop, the original builder sold it to an ABC builder who sold it to a XYZ builder. Now the XYZ builder is absconding with no trace whatsoever. The society committee is running the mall and neither they nor the previous builders know the whereabouts of the builder. The society says we can clear the maintainance dues and put the shop for rent (since they want to show mall is running) but in long term to sell / rent out the property legally what steps can be taken? A missing personβs report in the police or something else? -
