Got a Call from Karnataka High Court for some violation

Hi

I received a call (from 9553425614) that I have a violation against my name in Karnataka High Court. It was an automated message asking to press 1 for more details.

Before I could press 1 my network dropped off, I had just entered in an elevator. And I haven’t called the number back yet.

I live in New Delhi and haven’t been to Karnataka since 2016. Is this something serious? I’m not sure what to make of it. Can someone advise on this?

PS I checked the number on True caller and it says “Administrative Centre”

Better yet. Call him and feign familiarity to fish for any details like “Hello, Satish ji, pls fwd latest call sheet. boss wants update ASAP” or “checking on today’s target list. any updates?” or “Are we still using the old ICICI account? payment is stuck”.

Court will send a Chitti called Summon if they want to talk to you and be friends. Rest everything is a SCAM.

It’s the opposite. Police *cannot* send communication electronically. Not sure about courts.

No HC calls. If he calls you again.. Act worried, but ask him to give you judge name, court no, date and time when you have to be present and ask him to give the VC link for appearing online..enjoy your time reversing things on the scammer 😀

Scam. Court never calls lol. If court has to summon you, you get a legal notice at your home with case id, FIR etc which you can verify online.
