February 9, 2025 at 12:54 pmRecently I helped a person who required a financial aid, he was a total stranger to me a student stuck in another state as his flight was cancelled and needed urgent help. A boy studying in college so I thought of helping hin to arrange the flight ticket so that he can go cause in past I too was stuck like that once. Now I got to know all the name he gave me were false. One number he gave me which works but today he said you helped na so take it as good will I said thank you. Why you are asking for money. The amount was 20k. I want to know how can proceed for legal option against this act and what are the chances of me getting me moneh back. -

February 9, 2025 at 3:54 pmFile a cheating case under the BNS for fraud and cheating, basically taking money from you by fraudulent means, collect all factual details and file the FIR. Then send the FIR copy to the so called student. Even if cops don’t register FIR request them to at least make a diary entry of the issue being brought to their notice and take photo of the diary entry. If your student gets spooked by this ask him to return the money and just fo. Hope it works out. Or else if u don’t wanna involve cops name him and shame him on social media and declare him as a fraud online. At least that will tarnish his online image if he is actually a student inform his edu institute also. In all probability if this was actually a student he used ur money for partying or repaying some loan taken from these apps
