UI booked vietnam trip package from (TRIPBYFLY HOLIDAYS) for my family of four to Vietnam for Jan 10, 2025, and paid 2,89,000 on Dec 26, 2024. Instead of issuing my tickets, the agent STOLE MY MONEY and used it for his personal expenses in the name of his father that too he accepted during last month of January idk whether it is true but recently I checked many people are writing review in his company Google review of him scamming them
….Still this guy have to pay me pending amount 1,50,0000 and now for the past one month he’s just promising but not paying the amount….i have all the transaction screenshots, fake hotel voucher ,dummy flight tickets and refund mail he sent from his company mail now what should I do please help me lawyers and friends -
DTry to complain to the police first alleging cheating. Going civil might take a long time. and i really hope the company is registered in India

also call 1930 and report cyber fraud
Most travel agencies in India are frauds except reputed ones.
Better to pay to any travel blogger for custom itinerary

UAre you this illiterate of not knowing how to book tickets ,visas and hotels to vietnam by just sitting at home and using your laptop? You could get everything at a much better price when u do it on your own instead of depending upon these agents or at least go with some well known travel agents .Anyway take this as a life lesson and forget about the 1.5 lakh as I don’t think that u will be able to recover that amount very soon .

UI get what you mean 🤣, although ” illiterate ” may be too harsh a word here, usually it’s just a lack of know-how and the ease of booking it via an agent which is why people do it…
I mean, do you use Blinkit / Swiggy / Zomato / Zepto ? Because I could make the same argument, why don’t you go get your food from the restaurant store, why are you paying these companies a delivery fee when the restaurant itself used to do it for free or you could get it yourself from the store?

UMan first be in my place I’ve never travelled international before and prices were way to high when I check hotel in booking.com and other website compared to agencies I called and asked… you can’t simply judge from your side this was my first international trip that too with my family so I wanted everything to be arranged properly which I got from another trusted agency finally last min and if I’ve booked it on my own I would’ve paid much higher plus i suggested what you already suggested to my family they weren’t ready for it so before judging be in my place brother you should think from my place not everybody is like you so don’t be rude

UThis seems to be the modus operandi for travel agencies. There are similar stories [for SOTC](https://www.reddit.com/r/india/comments/18ctv47/unscrupulous_sotc_a_cautionary_tale/).

UI too had travelled with Tripbyfly a month back to Russia and uzbekistan. We were 6 people and our travel was very nice. But the hotel he changed before we reached 2 days back but luckily that change was actually good from the last hotel.
It was like a blessing in disguise. Remaining everything was perfectly planned. The owner of Tripbyfly mr.arun I hope he only provided services to u. I think sometimes issues happens but can’t say whom are lucky and whom are unlucky.Anyhow we will plan with him only for next year also.

UEven i got scammed by trip by fly we paid him 3,00,000 for Singapore trip and he booked fake flight tickets fake hotel vouchers everything fake upon threatening him that we will go legally he is telling us on what sections he can come out of jail
I went to the nearest police station as it it cheating but the police is also of no use please help me out -
