May 8, 2026 at 5:52 amHello,
I had a contact with a builder for constructing a home in 70 lakhs all in as per the contract however after signing the contract builder said gst will be extra it will be spilt 50-50 to which we agreed verbally. Gst will be 2lakhs max as per the initial conversation which needs to be paid by us.
Now after everything is done builder is saying he paid 8 lakhs gst ( 50 lakhs*18% ) and we need to pay 4 lakhs.
I transferred money in 3 different accounts, 2 personal accounts and one builders company account ( 25 lakhs )
Rest money was paid in 2 personal accounts and in around 12 lakhs in cash. How can i save this GST, builder is trying to make money from me.
