There’s a consistent spelling error in my father’s name across all my official documents, including my Aadhar card, PAN card,and driving license. Specifically, one letter in his name was incorrectly entered (“I” instead of “A”). This misspelled version is now uniformly present in all my records. Except class 10th and 12th Marksheet ( which just has his Initals on it)

this hasn’t caused immediate issues, I’m concerned it may create complications in the future, if I land a government job, or during property inheritance or legal proceedings. My father is also worried that the inconsistency with his correct name (as per his own Aadhar card) could lead to problems in verification processes.

Correcting Aadhar is simple, I am unsure about the procedure and complexity for updating PAN and driving license. Also, I’ve already used the incorrect version of my father’s name while applying for upcoming government exams, which further complicates the matter.

Should I start correcting all documents now to match my father’s Aadhar?

Will this discrepancy affect future government job verifications or inheritance processes?

What’s the best approach to correct PAN, and DL? Should I wait until after exams or act immediately?

If you correct your Aadhar card then you can use the same for pan and DL. Hardly it will take less than 10 days to get the new one
