QNEED HELP IN SUING THEM
Here’s what happened :
A sales person (female) from an ed-tech company called me to sell a course.
The fees was too high. I asked her to justify the high fees by giving me the details (packages and companies they are placed in) of their placed students from their latest passed-out batch so that I can decide if the course is worth the fees or not based on that.
She kept telling me things like I should not focus on placements alone and that I should focus on learning, etc. But I insisted that I wanted to know the details of the passed out students.
She had told me that they have students who were placed in top companies. I told her to share that list.
She started insulting me like I am not suitable for the program as I’m asking too many questions, etc. I stood my stand and told her again to send the details of their students placed in top companies.
She shared some profiles of few students over WhatsApp but they were all old and also not at all in top companies which she claimed. When I confronted her about it, she began insulting me like “You will never be able to do anything in life”, “You can sit with no money and just dreaming” , “Just get lost m do something”.
I wish to make them pay for this.
Kindly suggest what can be done.
If any lawyers can take this up, please get in touch.

SMan 2 lakhs is too much, if you want to learn technologies, i recommend you to head to Ameerpet, Hyderabad. You will get it for 1/10th of price these guys quoted.

CSorry to say in full honesty you are making an idiotic move. Why would you sue them? You have to spend your money,time and your mental health.
Instead write everything to customer care. Strong word it. The better you right better chances of compensation. Then also make it public on reddit,twitter and instagram. Tag them.
Wait for fireworks . They will need to convince you to take your post down. Don’t waste money. Review them on Google maps.

He apologized to me about it, asked me to take it down and asked me how he could set it right.
I told him to give that course for free. He said he won’t be able to do that but could give it at a very lesser price which he would tell me on Monday.Can you suggest if I should insist him to give it for free or give me any compensation instead of the course in case the fee he proposes is still high ?

CDon’t be greedy while talking. You will lose everything. First ask for apology, talk about how they will deal with the person who had need with you. Then ask what can they do for you.

SYou wanna sue the company cuz she insulted you? What if she is the payroll of a third party? Write a mail to the company asking for an explanation and then think about anything else.

SAsk for a free course. He would do that if you push a little more. Even if he offers the course for a lower price make sure that that price is inclusive of taxes and service fee etc. Also, make sure it has no kind of subscription clause attached to it and check the access validity(time period) of the course. IMO, compensation won’t be possible without litigation.

MI am a lawyer and my advice would be to not get into the web of litigation. Specifically for this case. Its not worth it, time consuming and you will end up burning lot of money. What you can do is use social media as a weapon against the company. If after doing so you are harassed, you can file complaint with the nearest police station for such harassment.

Actually that’s exactly what happened yesterday.
They had sent me an apology email (clearly AI generated).
As for compensation, they only gave me a ₹10k discount on the ₹2.1L course (which is still way too costly) and said that’s all we can do.
I told them to give me a proper discount else give me compensation for the incident.
For that, he laughed and told me their legal team would take necessary action to make me take my post down and that I wouldn’t get a single penny from them. 🙁
