Have not recieved the decision date for a petition/case at ranchi high court. Last hearing was in december 2024.

The status says “Date not” given. Please help me what should i do or how long will it take because this case is really very important for my business regarding payment due from the state government.

It’s automatically assigned by software. Usually takes a few months if there are no extraordinary circumstances in the case that warrants setting a faster hearing date.

Through an advocate who practices at that court, sure. You’re not going to get an early date without any severe financial emergency. You can contact them directly as well, if you just want updates/follow up, but a strongly worded letter from advocate with proper reasons for the early date will be your best chance. You’re still taking the risk that the judge may look at the reasons for early listing and deny it as not urgent, because that’s who has final authority on the roster.
