February 22, 2025 at 5:23 pmSo i reside in a society which is decades old and majority do believe that only redevelopment is the solution but being a flat owner
I don’t want the building to redevelop simply bcoz i dont trust the builder or the society secretary or the managementThere have been times where the same management has been involved in ghaplabaazi and have no records or data for previous spends and funds
While in the last meeting when we objectified the same – the trustees blamed us claiming you should be the one checking this thing from time to time
There are around 100 flats and i own 2 of them
Can i alone stop the entire redevelopment from taking place? -

February 22, 2025 at 5:29 pmYou can but i suggest you to form your own committee to side with you the management and builders will force you. You can go a lengthy battle but will not be worth it becoz you will be bad mouthed alone.-

February 22, 2025 at 5:37 pmYou can but if the building really needs redevelopment proven by facts then you cannot I guess that’s at least the rule in cidco where if they check a building has to go under redev it has to go.

February 23, 2025 at 4:05 amI don’t recollect, but if more than 75% vote for redevelopment, then it goes through. You alone cannot stop it. Make sure builder is selected through tender process etc. and not because he knows committee members.
