House ownership transfer

My father passed away 1 year back without any will. Now, we three sons have agreed to transfer the house property in our Mother’s name (basically none of us wants any share in property). What will be the procedure to facilitate such transfer. Further what all charges ( stamp duty, registration, mutations) etc is required.

Additional information, we all 3 live in different city, do we all have to be present at our hometown to complete the process.

You’ll have to be present in person. As far as I know The registration fee and all will be less than a normal registration. You’ll need to sign in presence of a registrar saying that you do not want a share and are okay with your mother being the only legal heir.

So what happens after your mother’s time?? Is she donating it to charity or something??
