How can I correct my dob on birth certificate?

I wanna correct my dob on my birth certificate , then on my other documents, what will it take and how can I do it, basically my real dob and the one on my birth certificate is off by an year, any help will be appreciated.

ADVOCATE HERE. Apply to concerned Municipal corporation or Hospital concerned. Every State demands their own set of documents in support. Not a big headache, though penalty amount differs. My best wishes.

Depends on your municipal corporation. Regarding hospitals, definitely offline.
