YMy senior has been bullying me since almost 1.5 years now. His family runs a major news publication and he has an administrative position in that too. He has picked on me throughout the year and has caused me physical trauma in form of suffocating me , a kick in the gut and the emotional and psychological trauma I endured when he asked his few friends or someone in his circle to follow my sister all the time and scaring me by sending me her pics as to show that he has an eye. I have filed complaint against him with the college administration but no action was taken. He has developed sheer resentment against me from the time he was harassing by inappropriately touching my friend in a club and i tried to help her. What would be the correct procedure to file a FIR against him , and is it possible for proofs on phone of the harassment and would it hold/be valid? Only reason i haven’t thought about it till now is due to the fact that i was scared for my family primarily. I can’t really take it anymore.
I’d really like advice on how to proceed with this or should i even do it as it’d futile due to his connections. Is there an upside to it? Would screenshots of chat help or be a legit evidence because i have few of them in which he is threatening me and my family. I’d also like to mention that its very common for his friends to get filed under obscure cases because they are actual criminals but they always seem to get out quite fast no matter the magnitude of crimes ( he hired a hitman once and got him out subsequently after some time). So is it even worth it and i should drop out of this course? I really want to pursue MBBS , I am currently in second year in a GMC and i have spent my last 5 years working hard. Is there a viable way out of this way? I’d appreciate any sort of advice , I am really desperate rn.

GThis was all rage bait. Either OP has a very creative mind or the city, name of accused and college is not correct. I’ve followed up with all the relevant authorities and not one piece of information that backs these claims.

Mi didn’t read the post properly but the guy threatened to commit suicide, we don’t know if he really did or not. at first even i thought it was a gimmick but then punjab kesri statement, and the alleged kidnapper statement of twitter came out in a span of 10 minutes, with exact same format, and the alleged kidnapper’s past tweet are highly disturbing so that wasn’t helping his case either.
i still believe its not a bait.

GThe kidnapping story isn’t true. While the bullying may be, the accused is not from the family he claimed. A lot of loopholes to consider this anymore. And I’m saying this after spending a lot of time trying to verify stuff. Went to ludhiana to do so too

FHey bro I hope you arr okay and you are doing great it’s really difficult to fight against bullies and even trying is great.
First of all gathering physical evidence is the top priority as screenshot of chats is usually not considered a viable evidence. Try to collect images of physical abuse and if possible, try to document injuries or marks with clear photos and a timestamp — even better if you have a witness or medical report.
Keep your phone recorder on around him, if not that buy a recorder which doesn’t look like a recorder.
Once you have enough evidence contact an online journalism group which will post your story along with evidence on various social media platforms and do the same for the news company which is the direct competitor of your bully’s company also file an FIR with this evidence.
