May 4, 2025 at 3:20 amHi,
There is a plot that we heard might belong to our family. It was known to the older generation, but for the past 15 years, no one has followed it up or visited the place. Now we are planning to go there and find out more. Now, we are planning to go to that area and try to trace it. But we have no idea where to start. We have the documents, just some basic idea about the locationCan someone please guide me on:
1. How to verify if the land still belongs to us?
2. Where and how to check land ownership records after so many years?
3. Which offices should we visit to get land details
4. What documents should we carry before going?Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

May 4, 2025 at 4:14 amAn advocate here. You have to engage a revenue counsel who is well versed with litigation in revenue court. Your land can only be identified from the local tehsildar office and also it can be viewed online if a seasoned revenue advocate tries to find it since ‘jama bandi’ , ‘girdori’ and ‘malkiyat’ are not available online. Once you identify the land, you need to make a claim ( dawa) in the requisite court concerned. All of this can be identified by the state, district and then khasra no of the said land. All the very best.
