How to get Indian PR/Citizenship

Hey! My boyfriend is a Bangladeshi citizen, but he has been staying in India for the past 12 years on a visa. He completed his schooling and graduation in India. How can he apply for PR, and what are the requirements?
We’ve been looking for a good immigration lawyer for a long time but haven’t found one. Does anyone know the process?

getting India citizenship via registration is difficult and slow process

No, we have not. We’re actually very confused about the whole process. We keep hearing different things from different people.

I don’t think India has a concept of PR but it’s citizenship. If your boyfriend is fluent in the languages and other legal requirements to be citizen by naturalization, he should apply for the citizenship. I think he can do it himself.

India doesn’t have great immigration culture hence finding an immigration lawyer would be tricky except Delhi probably. Try to post in r/Delhi, they might be able to help you.

Just vote the dominating party in your region, you would be citizen of India right after that
