March 29, 2025 at 5:54 pmThere is no legal concept of โdisowningโ oneโs parents. If you are an adult and wish to sever ties with your parents, you may consider changing place of residence, your name and executing a deed of release. This deed would state that you relinquish any claim to your parentsโ property or inheritance. However, it is important to note that such a deed does not legally terminate the parent-child relationship, but it may serve as a formal declaration of your intention to distance yourself and waive your rights to their estate.
