I mistakenly hit a woman by my bike, the hospital bill amount was 12,000 rupees. I am ready to compensate them the fault was mine.fortunately she is fine and didnt suffer any major risks. Further to that how do i make sure they dont take any further legal action agaisnt me after i have paid. We have mutually accepted this.

A razinama aka settlement/compromise agreement would work, mention the amount of settlement and add a clause that injured party will not take any legal action against you, this agreement will be signed by both parties, and will be notarized with witnesses.

If you don’t want to go through that route, you can get her to sign an undertaking stating that she accepts the compensation and now won’t pursue any legal action against you.

yes, but an agreement made by a professional would cover everything and will be more formal.

The other party agreed for 50% of the amount. I am doing this for peace of mind by paying full bill. I want to stay away from the lawyer.
I also have a recording that he is agreeing to this and will also have a ss of the transaction isnt that enough?

I think that’s enough. But if you want more peace of mind, then you can make them sign an undertaking on a โ‚น50 non judicial stamp.

You would need to buy a โ‚น50 Non Judicial Stamp paper, you can print your draft on that paper and get it signed by them.

You can also print a โ‚น50 Non Judicial e-Stamp paper online if you live in one of [these](https://nesl.co.in/states-for-digital-e-stamping/) states.

go to local court and get it printed on a 100 rs stamp paper . they already have the format . get it notarised at the same and get the other parties sign as well
