How to register Marriage in India

Basically I am an italian citizen (M). Just recently married to an indian national (F) resident in UAE. I was wondering how could I register the marriage in india if we got married in court of Abu Dhabi? Marriage is already registerd in italy.

better to not register in india,, Indian laws are really shit in marriage cases.

Yes, India recognises foreign marriage under Foreign marriage act? You may register under the same act. Nothing additional isn’t required only they will ask for some documents and evidence.
Condition is marriage should be legal as per Indian laws. And one spouse should be Indian citizen.

You dont need to register the marriage in India.

If you would like your passports to be updated with spouses name – head to the embassy to get it updated.

The marriage certificate of Italy apostiled. It works for all purposes in India.
