How to revoke power of attorney in India?

  About 10 years ago, my father, with the help of his brother, granted him power of attorney. Due to certain circumstances, he now wishes to revoke it.
  
  He is currently in the USA but will be traveling to India for a week and is trying to understand the process for revocation. Could you please guide us on the necessary steps to revoke the power of attorney?

  If it’s a registered one, send a letter to registers and the POA holder for revocation.
  
  Afterwards, Visit the office to cancel POA as sarkari department.

    Few questions:
    
    • ⁠what do you mean by “registers” (and POA holder will be his brother – correct)?
    
    • ⁠which office (name) does he need to visit to cancel POA (is there also a forum/document he needs to complete)?
