January 21, 2025 at 12:06 pmHow to withdraw an FIR?A few years ago, one of my good friends started pursuing a course but unexpectedly went missing after a year. His family reported his disappearance to the police and filed a FIR at the police station. He essentially vanished on his own, leaving everything behind, and to this day, nobody knows why he did it. The police and his family tried to locate him, but they couldnโt find any leads.
After a few months, he returned and reconnected with his family. As time passed, everything returned to normal, and he resumed the same level of coursework. However, he is now concerned that the FIR could create issues with his job and placement during the background verification process for his current course. Since the incident happened a few years ago and everything is normal now, he is planning to withdraw the FIR. He has a few doubts and has asked me for suggestions:
1. How should he proceed with the withdrawal of the FIR?
2. If the FIR is withdrawn, could it still cause problems during the background verification process, and will the company find out about it? -
