January 15, 2025 at 6:00 amHi guys!A husband and wife are going to be tenants in our flat. Husband is moving abroad (Abu Dhabi) for job and wife who is a homemaker, is going to stay in the flat with 2 kids.
On whose name should rental agreement be?
If husbands name should be included somehow, what should be the address? His Aadhar card mentions previous address however he is now moving abroad. Would that make any difference? Should his new location be mentioned on the agreement?
Please guide!

January 15, 2025 at 6:16 amEverything you put in a legal document should be up to date to the best of your knowledge, youβd do well to include both their names and mention she is the wife.Abu dhabi address cannot be his address to rent here and it canβt be put on his Aadhaar card either,so both their Aadhaar cards with same address should be ok.-

January 15, 2025 at 10:44 amHaving Aadhar card details is of no use except establishing identity. Also as a private person, you donβt have the right to ask for Aadhar details.

January 15, 2025 at 10:48 amWhy do you think we have asked for Aadhar details? For establishing identity.I know so many landlords who ask for PAN details as well. Your response doesnt answer my question, why bother? You could simply scroll past. You sound like a tenant who would squat for years.
