February 8, 2025 at 8:47 amHi
Yesterday night I had a parked car and that car hit another parked car. The owners are demanding 60k to repair the cars . I won’t be able to give them that much money so I asked the to file a case and lets move the thing leggakg. The second car owner doesn’t have own damage insurance so he is trying hi Loris best to not make a case and I myself informed the station and now my car is at police station and made an FIR.1 Do i have to pay any money?
2 what’s the further proceedings ? -

February 8, 2025 at 9:02 amYour insurance would be liable to pay for all damages since it’s you who caused the accident. Police report will help them claim insurance.-

February 8, 2025 at 9:02 amWhy should the second car owner pay for your doing through his insurance?people don’t understand Civic liability. If you damage other person’s vehicle, you should be the one paying from your insurance. why should the other party claim their own insurance and pay extra premium next year?

February 8, 2025 at 10:48 amIt wasn’t rash driving the car i hit is having minor issues a broken tail light and a few scratches on the bumper. The car i hit it was on Neutral and his parking brakes weren’t engaged. So it rolled a few meters and hit the second car .

February 8, 2025 at 10:43 amEdit i guess some of you may have misunderstood the question. I have informed my insurance provider as well as the cops. My car is at the station awaiting inspection from MVD.I want this whole thing to be taken care of by my insurance. But second car guy is insisting i pay him by cash.
