UMy name is Arun Kumar and I am pursuing a B-Tech CSE from Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur. I am from SC Caste and my mother told me this when I was in 6th class. At that time I was unaware of all these caste systems. My father was in the Army, when I was in 7th Class, at that time my father and mother were aware of all the caste discrimination. They hid my caste in the Army Public School, Jalandhar Cantt, and showed me as a general Caste Student. Till that time, everything was fine and I never felt discriminated against. So time went through and at the time of my father’s retirement came. At that time I had to shift my school. So my father decided to take my admission near my village home at Shiva International School, Ghumarvin. In my new school, I don’t know why, but my father asked me to choose the caste that I wanted to live in. Unfortunately, I choose SC Caste instead of General Caste while changing my new school. This was the time when I started feeling discrimination against my SC caste. For example, I had my best friend Anshul Verma, who broke his friendship with me, when he figured out that I belonged to SC Caste. He stopped talking with me and he blocked my number. But till this time, I felt like I made a mistake by choosing SC Caste. Moreover, you will be surprised to know how Anshul (who was my best friend) got to know that I am a SC Caste Student. Our Chemistry, who knew that I belonged from SC Caste spoke loudly in the class that, Arun Kumar And Aman have to bring their SC Certificate by tomorrow. This was the most painful time for me because due to this only, my best friend Anshul stopped talking with me. This was the time when I decided that I had to hide my caste.
How I spent my 11th and 12th classes there alone and lonely. At that time I studied hard for the JEE Exam, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to crack the JEE Exam. However, I got admission to Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur by SC quota in the CSE Branch. Even if I hadn’t used my SC quota, then also i would have secured the CSE Seat at HPTU University by my HP-SET Score (383). Now I have entered HPTU University with my dream branch CSE. But here what I faced was the most tragic incident in my life. Initially, I didn’t tell anyone about my caste. I tried to hang out with my PG seniors of the Second Year, Nikhil Thakur, Rudhra Sharma, and Nitin Kondal. I just went inside their room to talk. At that time, all these three seniors tried to ask about my JEE Score, which I tried to hide from everyone. But at that time, Rudhra played a game with me and said that he belonged to SC Caste and he had a very low score in my JEE Mains in the 50s percentile. My score was 65 points something, so I was very happy at that time that at least I found someone alike me. So I also told my real percentile and my real caste to them. This was so manipulated, that I fell very hard in it. After that, they talked about SC and ST caste reservations. That it should be removed and I also remembered that they abused Dr Br Ambedkar. They were saying “YA SALA SC CASTE KA HAI MADARCHOD. IS BANDA SA DUR REHNA”. It was very painful for me. This was the time when I realized that they were making fun of me and they all were laughing at me. At the last of the conversation, they told me that the full name of Rudhra was Rudhra Sharma. This was the exact time when land escaped from my legs and I felt very humiliated. I even tried to complain about the ragging community, but I stopped myself because I knew that, their life would become hell. Nitin Kondal was the topper of B-tech First and Second Year. Just imagine such a boy getting involved in a ragging case. Moreover, I felt that I would be humiliated if I reported them. I remember that night, crying alone and telling my father about all the situations that happened to me. At that time my father told me that I would support you, just go ahead.
The real insult was felt to me when I told my PG roommates that I am from SC Caste. I had two roommates with me, who were Mohit Sharma and Piyush Thakur. Both of them either changed PG or changed their room, after knowing that I belonged to SC Caste. This was the most painful and stressful time for me because this happened to me on the 1st of February, 2025. This is the life of a normal SC Caste Student. Today the date is 7th February 2025 and today I was beaten by Akhil Thakur, Anshul Verma, and Rohit Kumar. And, when I am writing them, my eyes are full of tears. I haven’t told my mom and dad that today I got brutally beaten by punches. But I hope when I will stop crying, I will tell my parents about it. Some of my classmates were also present in the washroom. First Akhil Thakur punched the Wall as hard as he could and after that, he punched my head. this was the time when Anshul Thakur punched me two times and I defended myself. but after that, I was surrounded by all three of them. Anshul Thakur tightly grabbed my neck with his left hand. And at this time, all of them started punching my face and head. I was unable to defend myself and I was hardly able to see them. But what I saw was punches coming and striking my head again and again. And maybe after 30-40 seconds, after 15-20 punches, they stopped punching. At this time also, I barely saw their faces. But after punching me, they kicked me with their legs and I got to support myself when fell on the hanging toilet. I got support from that toilet. But after that, they dragged me with me from my collar. This was the time when I came back to my senses and I decided to fight back. But Anshul threw me out of the washroom and told me that get lost from there. At this point, I realized that I had been brutally beaten by three of them. After that, I went to my PG and dressed myself properly. My mouth was frozen and when I came back to my PG, I drank more than two bottles of water and half a liter of milk. After this incident, they all called and told our class teacher and tried to defame me. That I started the fight and I abused them. Everything they told sir was a lie, but sir believed them. This was very painful for me and I was unaware, of what should I do here. My legs are now also paining and my back is also paining from both right as well as left side. But then also I am writing this at 9:52, but I don’t know why I am writing it. I know that I will delete it before posting because it will be insulting to me only. But I wish I had chosen any other college than HPTU. All my decision made me come here and now I am facing consequences. I wish I had changed my caste or why even this SC caste was made. my eyes are full of tears right now and I don’t know what I can do here. right now I am alone crying 😭 and writing all my pain. UTell those scums to stop it else you will file sc/st case against them.

HLaw student here! although SC/ST is regularly misused and I hope your case is genuine, you can held them liable under SC/ST act if they had done this because of your caste.
There’s always anger against SC/ST students due to this reservation shit but it shouldn’t lead to violence -

AFirst things first, go to a govt hospital and get the medical reports from there, and simultaneously contact police to book an FIR under SC/ST act. This is not a matter of anti-ragging. This is criminal offence. Be strong and bold. Don’t back down.

UUrgently take pictures of all your injury marks using your phone camera in HD. Then call your dad there, if he’s from the army, he will protect you against anything, even God. Then go to the nearest police station with your dad and ask them to file an FIR, not just a normal talk but an FIR. Then ask them to get your injuries checked by the concerned doctor before they start healing, and record everything. Contact the sc student protection orgs, BAPSA and stuff and make sure the college doesn’t get rid of the CCTV footage. Collect as much proof as you can. Next time, do not think about other idiot’s future instead of yours. You are the victim in this system, not him

Ye tumhari galti nhi h ki in MC tumhe attack kara, ye bas inki khud ki insecurity hai. Jaise agar reservation nhi hoti to sale chaand par pohoch jaate.
Mujhe nhi pta tumhare colg me kya chal rha hai studies wise, lekin tum 2 hafte ki chutti lo aur chup chap ghar jao. Aise BKL k beech me rehne se tum apni aage ki studies ka bhi nuksaan karoge. Itna socho mat aur ghar jaa kar mummy papa ko sab bata do aur rest kro. Saath hi inke against police me complain kro, aur university ki authorities ko bhi complain kro. Papa ko vaha bulao , saari choto ki pics lo aur inki 🍑 maro.
Aur tumhe kya chinta ho rhi h? Agar tumhare complain karne se kisi topper ki life kharab ho rhi h to bhad me jaye na. Jab bakchodi ka itna shauk k to uska phal bhi to khana padega na?

RNot a lawyer. What happened with you shouldn’t happen with anyone in the world. I would suggest you to take a legal route and if you take legal route by filling FIR, other advice that people have given and all Please don’t back down and don’t show them pity. you have given them a plenty of chances and they crossed a line. You will probably be making things safer for a future SC guy who will come in contact with people like these.
I’m general btw but have many SC friends i don’t discriminate. If they have problem with reservation they should blame the government not you. You were born into a SC family it was not a choice. If there are people still discriminating then reservation won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
Problem is ki as you said if you had taken general seat they would still be angry because SC taking general seat so general people will have less seats and more seats for SC people and if you take your own caste seat they still have problem wow…. Dumb people will still be angry on you just because in what family you were born….. Blame the government not SC/ reservation people
if you all still keep discriminating then reservation won’t be going anywhere, you guys doing things like this means people do discriminate and SC/ other categories guys need protection/ reservation under the law. Choose a right path to promote removal of reservation if general people keep discriminating like this they are making things worse for themselves lmao.
