April 15, 2025 at 9:26 pmWhether itβs headache or not, if you saw it and can recognize the person, you should help the innocent party out.If no one comes forward, why do we need to exist as a civilization or society.

April 15, 2025 at 10:31 pmFor all you know, the victim is counting on you to make or break their case. You’ll be considered as direct evidence since you witnessed it first hand and are actually very important to the victim. Please reconsider your decision and imagine this from the victim’s shoe rather than considering it a headache. -

April 15, 2025 at 11:48 pmYou cannot refuse to give your testimony before the court during trial. The police naturally needs your assistance before the court process as well to find the culprit and produce them before the court. If your testimony is essential, the prosecution and even the defence lawyers can get summons issued to request your presence in court. Refusing to appear when summons are issued can lead to fines being levied and it is also seen as a contempt of court. Please don’t think of it as a burden rather a way to help the family of the victim and also, the society in general by getting rid of the criminals and ensuring people’s trust in the legal process.

April 16, 2025 at 4:45 amPlease do not think this way. I know it makes you scared, what if those people come after you.But think it this way, if it was someone you know and love, there, and people around would refuse to help for the sake of avoiding potential conflict with the murderer. How would had felt?

April 16, 2025 at 4:51 amItβs the societal responsibility,
Imagine this, someone you love deeply gets murdered and the witness doesnβt want to help you get justice, because itβs a minor inconvenience for them. -

April 16, 2025 at 5:01 amYeah sorry I’m not gonna help you with this.If you’ve got the capability to testify and put a criminal behind bars, it’s your duty to do so. How would you feel if one of your family members is the victim and a person who’s statement can put the culprit behind bars refuses to do so?
If you’re scared of any potential consequences, tell the police that you need police protection during the duration of the trial because you’re scared for your life.
