I got call from +96 Oman number and said they’re suspending my number for harrasment. IS IT A SCAM?

I got call from +96 number and an automated voice said that my number is getting suspended for 2 days or something. Then it said for more information press 1. I pressed.

I got connected with someone who said he’s from telecom authority and told me that someone used my aadhar card to get a number from which that person is harrassing someone online.

That person also knew my email address and mobile number. What to do?

Yes, it’s a scam. Don’t engage them in any further conversations.

I asked him to call me after half an hour as I’m out rn. What to do? Ignore his calls??

Block that number and move on. Don’t pick up calls from weird ISD codes any more unless your life/work involves getting calls from such numbers.
