I got scammed from a fraud..

I (15M) got joined in a group from telegram, and I didn’t knew it was a fraud. It was an investment fraud.
And i contacted them through WhatsApp, then, i paid them through GPay i.e. ₹2000 (from my sister’s bank acc) for investment (he said he’ll make it to ₹12k)
After I paid that ₹2k, he said the slot was full and he was asking ₹1k more so that i could join the ₹3k slot, and then I sent him 1k more.
After that, he told me to wait 45 min and he’ll give me the profit after the time.
After the time (45mins) I texted him asking if he’s done. He replied that he is. But now, he’s asking for ₹5250 for doing the work and things. Now that’s the time i realised it’s a fraud. I told him to give me my profit first and then I’ll pay but he refused saying he can’t and things, then I asked for refund and now he’s not even answering any texts.

And I want my money back if I can so.. I’d really be thankful if anyone could help me..

No way to get it back. It’s unfortunate but a standard scam, there are no profits and there was never an investment, just a donation and a lesson learned at the end. Sorry lil bro, best to just move on.

Only option is your sister filing a complaint for unlawful transaction. Of course you will have to tell her what you had done and if you tell the bank within 72 hours they will have to either reimburse or compensate for the scam (not a 100% guarantee).

You cant exactly recover from the scammer since it is not a legit investment since a) you are minor and b) scammers seldom pay.

However, from the transaction history, the account of the scammer can be found and if the court agrees, it can be frozen too although i am quite sure this guy would have already taken the money somewhere else.

Next time don’t run after easy money and work hard to make it.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND FILING A CASE SINCE THE LAWYERS FEES WILL BE MUCH HIGHER THAN THE LOST AMOUNT.

You cant since its your sister’s account. Only she can. If she is also a minor like you then only your parents/guardian can.

Same thing happened with my cousin- initially they give 1k-2k returns to show they are genuine. My cousin lost 39k to this scam

I hope your sister takes away your access to her account. Giving a 15 yo bank account access is the first wrong thing that was done here. You are naive so you’d fall for these scams but adults around you should know better

6 time the returns. Which is 600%

Banks give 5-7%
Index give 12-5%
Mutual Funds give 18-20%

Even the people who give loans give it at 2% which is 24%

Greed ki bhi haad hoti hain.

Remember, no 1 is going to make you money.

You learnt a big lesson for a small cost.
