UI(20M) am a person of indian origin living in canada and a couple months back I hooked up with a girl(16f) whose also of indian origin. I met her through discord, it was a casual thing it didn’t even last long. Later on her parents came to know and were threatening to file charges against me. I wasn’t worried much cause it’s not my first time doing it with someone of that age. It’s legal in canada.
Now I am a bit worried cause what if they press charges in India and I occasionally go to India so can I be charged for it in India even though it happened in a different jurisdiction. I know India is not like Canada and is very strict regarding this, doesn’t even consider this as statutory rape which is usually a lesser charge(probably something like probation) in jurisdictions where it’s considered as such.

YThe complaint is registered in the place where offense took place. For what is legal in Canada, you can’t be charged in India.
Act has to have happened in India to charge you under POCSO act.

Neither of us were interesting in dating each other or anything it was a short lived fling where both people know what was going on.
I wasn’t grooming or anything we both lived in the same province and could meet up and we just did it we both knew this thing isn’t even gonna last long.

UWhat’s wrong with it, I believe in a lot of places(western countries) the age is 16 where it is legal.

I hit it off with a girl who was 14 at that time and I was fingering her, she gestured me to perform oral on her it was a weird and awkward moment for me at that time I have never been in such a situation and I was kinda nervous n stuff, I ended up backing up and just leaving, it was a really awkward moment, next day she tried to approach me in school and I avoided her she noticed I was avoiding her and didn’t try to talk with me afterwards, couple months later my family moved out from that place I knew that (this was something which was planned way before) and I was kinda glad as I won’t be seeing her again. It was awkward whenever I spot her in school. In that time whenever I got horny I thought of how I missed my chance with her and how I should approach her again and see how it goes. Well it’s awkward approaching her again also after I am done being horny I lose all reason to contact her.
