UI’m panicking as I write this. I never imagined I’d ever be in this situation, but here I am.
I am being threatened by a guy I met online and shared intimate pictures with, I know it was a stupid decision, but I did what I did, and even shared personal details with the said person.
I trusted that person but soon realised his true identity, he hadn’t started threatening then, but due to other reasons I stopped trusting him and blocked him everywhere because he was clearly using me.
Now, he reached out to me on my social media and messaged me saying he has my pics and videos saved. He hasn’t messaged anything threatening outright, but he keeps asking to ‘discuss’ on call about this. I have nonetheless taken screenshots of his messages.
What should I do? Pls help me.

JAm not a lawyer but I hope these are of atleast some help to you. If I suggested smtg wrong please correct me.
1. Take the lesson and don’t repeat such foolish mistakes again, Ik we all want that kind of thrilling fun or smtg but trust me it doesn’t take long to go side ways(it did for u).
2. Did u take any of his information while sharing yours? so that u can file a complaint against him on cyber crime or some Women NGO and such to hopefully erase anything he has saved.
3. If your face isn’t visible in those pictures u are saved but if it is then best bet would be to claim then as AI incase he does smtg with them.
4. High chance he might just be wanting to extort money from you so maybe blocking him everywhere could help, But I have a feeling that blocking him might trigger ego or smtg of his and he might take some action. This is just a feeling I have and not smtg that I’ve read anywhere actually happening so your call.
5. Take some in-depth advice from other here since I think someone who actually knows the law can guide u better.

UYea I was foolish and won’t do something like that again.
Yes, I have all his details, his parents details too. I know his workplace also.
Unfortunately the photos are very sensitive so that’s the only thing I’m worried about atm.
I have scored the subreddit for similar cases and will follow the advice.
I’ll file a case in the local police station if he tries to contact me further. I have atm blocked him everywhere. I have also taken down all my social media handles. (Deactivated). -

UDw the world is very big even if he release those videos, photos now one will ever know u in real life and after realising those videos, photo u can directly police complain with solid evidence. If u Play smarty this situation will pass very soon and he will be in jail very soon.

UI think u should personally talk with some senior police officer or women rights officer and explain all ur situation properly. Or if hav any personal connection in politics then u can do your work easily if not then visit some high lvl officer and see the past records of that officer whether he can handle this type of sensitive things.

JDekho best hai ki Cyber cell me jaao ya Police ke paas jao, Inspector ya Us se upar ki post Wale se baat karo, isme apko evidence dikhane ki koi jarurat nhi hai wo uska mobile se khud evidence collect kar lenge or delete krwa denge

JEvery major city have Cyber Cells U can search for your city, You can do both online & offline but it’s better if you do Offline. Try to tell them everything, there are strict laws regarding safety of woman and children

UStep 1: you need to talk to your parents, they arent your enemies and will support you trust me!
Step 2: File a Police Complaint
Step 3: File a petition in the court to urgently seize and destroy the electronic data of the guy. ( the details of with your lawyer would know) has to be done fast.

How do I file a petition in court? Do I need to hire a lawyer for this?-
