I think I got cheated by a guy in olx, is there anything I can do about it?

I got cheated for a small sum of 600₹, is there anything I can do to get the money back.I know his first name, city and state but that’s it.

I was trying to buy i earphone i wanted from a guy in kochi for 900, he said he was willing to ship the product if I sent him an advance of 600 rupees. I said I’ll send the remaining 300 after he shows a recipt after postage. It’s been 14 days and he still hasn’t done that.

He never picks up calls and only responds to WhatsApp messages. I have lost hope and want the money back, is there anything I can do to get a small sum like this back?

Let it go and learn the lesson. One thing you can do is to spam him from multiple numbers. Whenever your mood is shit, you could call or text him and give him a piece of your mind.

i just don’t understand how people, in 2025, even after so many awareness videos & scam cases on the internet end up falling for such cheap tricks.

there’s nothing that can be done. take a lesson. In 600₹ you could’ve got new earphones. forget it.

I was being delusional and thought he must not be a scammer as he’s selling a niche earphone. I thought scammers would sell stuff that’s a little more expensive.

And i was a little hesitant to buy the new one for 2000₹.

Lesson learnt.

If this happened in kochi it was most likely some Tamil guy who scammed you not a mallu btw
