UI really need legal advice. I am being threatened with outing, blackmail, and legal action by someone I met once as a fwb(we are both men). During the meetup I got uncomfortable midway and wanted to stop, which upset him. We had agreed to split hotel expenses, but later he demanded that I pay for the entire trip (around 11k) saying I ruined it.
After I left early, he started accusing me on WhatsApp statuses of harassing him and holding him hostage. He then contacted me again, and threatened legal action. Since then he has been forcing me to stay in contact, demanding daily calls and another meetup, otherwise he says he will drag me to court, call my parents, sabotage my career, and out me to people I know through LinkedIn/social media.
He has also sent me IPC/BNS sections claiming he will sue me for harassment and cheating.
Below are the sanctions he listed to me
1) Section 415 / 420 IPC – Cheating
2) Section 69 BNS – Sexual Exploitation by Deceit
3) Section 75 BNS
4) Section 351 / 352 BNS – Emotional/Psychological Harassment and Intimidation
5) Tort Law
I am a student, not out to my family, and genuinely terrified and stressed. I want to know if he actually has a legal case against me and what I should do to protect myself.
