Have some patience please, this post is bit long.

I live in Chennai, and In my area, There’s a cow with a severed tail.

This cow got severed tail due to some drunk person, and almost 4+ months after it lost ยพ part of tail by the crows. They still eat the tail everyday. it was late when I got all the info of Blue Cross and I submitted a form and got response. And the team said, if it’s abandoned they have the rights to take the cow and do all the surgery or whatever treatment needed but they won’t return the cow. They asked me to get the owners info.

When I asked about the owner of this cow, the local people said it has no owner, this cow is given to a nearby temple. They say it’s temple’s or gods cow. And one who said this information is another milkman who has a small dairy and couple of cows. I said to him that Blue cross is willing to help as I spoke with doctor, he clearly mentioned that it’s impossible to treat in my locality, it definitely need a surgery and need blood and trip (glucose or something) and it requires hygiene and facilities. They simply cannot come, give the treatment and go, almost tail is gone, have to make sure it’s not getting any infections day by day. So have to take there

And I said this to milkman and He said, those who want to help this cow can help, however the cow should stay in the locality because it’s temple’s cow. Not allowed to taken to hospital, he know if blue cross takes means they won’t return. he said as final verdict those who can treat can treat in locality itself.

So I told the Blue cross team about this situation and they said that, it won’t help them cos, its religious matter. There’s a chance that It would create a huge problem. If you can complain, I will have to assist them when they come to get cow and if anybody ask means I have to deal with them

I’m worried, can I simply go proceed or will I face any law or any other form of consequences.

Surely These local guys and so called temple authority guys arent helping it. Cow is in the edge of infection. The more we late, things will get ugly for sure

If I can proceed without fearing anything, please guide me

1 what are the legal measures to take care in advance to avoid any problem

2 How can I shut/handle the people who tries to block the blue cross guys to take the cow.

        3) is there any other better options I can consider? If there, what are they?

Note: I am not sure if the cow is temple’s, I don’t have any proof. So, Will have to believe what the locals/milk man say.

        And I’m taking this step.

cos the locals said, nearby govt vet doctors won’t come here and treat and I don’t have any guidance to how to proceed with govt hospital route. Haven’t explored this honestly.

If you need any questions or clarifications, please feel free to ask.

        Thanks in Advance.

If noone cares for it , you can ask blue cross to take care of it.I don’t think it will be a problem.

You should put this on social media, maybe twitter and Ig. The public pressure if it is on your side will help the cow to get the treatment.
