February 7, 2025 at 9:21 amI had reported a cyber crime and went through the necessary legal steps (crime report, FIR, go to court).I’m told by my lawyer judge granted release and a surety is required. I was under the impression that it is only required for bail. Can anyone confirm if this is standard process for cyber crimes, and court orders for money release? Secondly, Why would I need to provide surety if the judge has granted an order in my favour?
And if it is required, what happens if the individual is poor and can’t provide anything.

February 7, 2025 at 7:21 pmIf you’re the complainant, there arises no scenario where the judge would ask you for ‘surety’.-
