January 13, 2025 at 6:43 pmHello,
I recently applied to Dublin Business school through an agency in India. I paid fees in full and submitted my document for the visa application. I had a serious family emergency so I had to withdraw my application. I tried to get more information on the application cancellation and refund process and so gave a call to the admission team in Ireland team. They walked me through the process and told me to formally withdraw my visa application as well to submit to the school for a refund. I did that and notified the school of my request with supporting documents via the agency-university portal. A month later no update so my agency and the admission team gave me the phone number of the person who apparently handles Indian applications as he was supposedly the one to provide an answer and update. After multiple emails and phone calls I managed to get a hold of him on the phone. As soon as he answered he started to speak in the most unprofessional and disrespectful manner possible. He started to quiet the policy all wrong and laughed at my attempt to request a refund. He outright said that he is in charge of my application and he wonβt give a refund because he will lose more than 10 lakhs. Despite me making the claim within the timeframe he said ask if Iβm withdrawing will I find a replacement from him to fill my spot ? If not he wonβt refund the money. There is more to what he said but I have raised a misconduct complaint against this person to the Ireland school but can an experienced lawyer please provide a solution? (I am a lawyer graduated law school and have made claims per the terms and conditions) that person seems to be on a power trip. Feels like I have been scammed. I am still fighting with the school as we speak -

January 14, 2025 at 1:57 amThere’s isn’t much you can do legally here since its in Ireland. You can escalate the matter with higher authorities of the college. Look up the Dean or similar posts and email them with this individual in CC -
