Insurance company is not cancelling my policy

I took policy of star health from a agent in July and he gave me policy details in August which was all wrong and i immediately called him to cancel the policy. He said he will apply for cancellation. Then after months after he kept saying the same shit. Then in December i visited the their office in my city and then got to know that, the agent hasn’t even applied for any cancellation and is also not with the company anymore. So in December i applied for cancellation through mail and also sent them the application, they replied me and also asked for chat screenshot with the agent and all but now they are not replying and even cancelling my policy. What should I do now?

Raise a complaint with Insurance Ombudsman or IRDA. Also raise a stink on social media and tag as many news outlets and influencers. Some times a kick in the butt will work well.
