March 2, 2025 at 2:11 pmI have an offer in hand and joining is from 10th march but I am so so skeptical of joining them, majorly skeptical about the profile and the exit options it may offer.
Is it fine to decline the offer just before a week of joining ?
What might be the implications ?

March 2, 2025 at 2:14 pmHave you accepted the offer formally on call, email or writing? If there is no acceptance by you then the same is not a contract and therefore not binding on you or them. Sharing the actual terms of contract with me here might help me help you better.-

OP
March 2, 2025 at 2:23 pmI accepted on email and then shared a signed offer letter also with them. I read the offer letter thoroughly and it doesnβt contain anything which says they may taken action on not joining, it only state that if I donβt join on 10th then it will be cancelled. (I am a law graduate, I donβt practice thought but understand basic terminologies:))But why i am worried is, itβs a just a week now and they choose me for a replacement of the person leaving so their work might get affected(not sure though)

March 2, 2025 at 2:25 pmI dont think you should be worried about them, find a good excuse not to join and email them, if the terms state they will give the job to someone else in case of non joining then all seems good to me.
