I am not talking about audio recordings but voice messages like [this](https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.alltop9.com%2Frecord-whatsapp-voicemails-in-background%2F&psig=AOvVaw0dRqvEr1w_hT6_-Ow6xP0r&ust=1737445631255000&source=images&cd=vfe&opi=89978449&ved=0CBgQ3YkBahcKEwjozJ3B54OLAxUAAAAAHQAAAAAQCg).

I know court reads transcripts and not hear the audio but is it straightforward to use it? I saw a video on YT where advocate was saying its tedious process to get audio recordings foresnsically verified but what about these voice messages?

Yes social media chats are used as evidence. And if you have the original chats, the audio message will also be part of the conversation and should be accepted.

Because the audio is being sent by the person himself. Not by you. So there’s no point of calling them fake. If you do that you’re just throwing logic out of the window and might as well say no one is real both the people in the chat was the judge goofing around with the two phones.

Lawyer here based in Delhi. Yes they could certainly be used as a valid form of evidence, albeit necessary certificate shall be provided by you to affect its acceptance. What kind do relevancy it has with the case matter, also depends quite a bit.
