UI m(26) from Delhi.
I teach at an institute.
I had an argument with one of my student due to our misunderstanding.
I gave her some work and she did complete opposite thing and when i pointed out, i may have touched her nerves or something and she(25) got furious.
The next day (13th jan 2025) she called her brother to institute, he literally abused and had heated argument, my management apologised for things that hadn’t been committed.
On 20th jan we refunded her fees.
After that the brother and the sister went to police and cops came I was not there at that time and my institute head handled everything.
When i reached i got to know the duo wanted a begging apology from my side and i called back the police he said we will let you know.Now comes the real thing.
I got a call at 11:12, saying he is SHO and wanted all my complete details like address, i politely refused as i had suspicision and felt intimidated.
I told i will give every detail in station.
He cut the call saying come to station tomorrow.At this point i dont know what to do.
Can someone please guide me. -
UIf you did/said nothing sexual or pass caste based remarks, you have nothing to worry about. Go to the police station and ask them what is the issue… Tell them to have girl file an FIR. They will never filer her FIR because then they will have to do the work. Also, don’t pay them anything. These are just tactics to mooch money off both sides.

I havent passed any sexual/castist remark.
Just argument that what you have done is not useful for exam and you spent entire writing these notes but it is already given in notes.
She got furious on this stating i should apologise to me because my tone wasnt nice.
I said i havent said anything offensive or disgusting , nor i done anything to her i have cctv footage too that i teach at a healthy distance.
Neither i texted/called/contacted her apart from the call, nor any kind of conversation i ever had with her alone.
All she says that the teacher should fall at my feet and ask for forgiveness for the mental trauma that I have given her whereas I am the who has received a traumatic experience and having nauseous vomit due to anxiety.-
UNot much to say then, not like it was any sort of harassment or threat. And even they do press charges the reasons and proofs might be weak to get you in any trouble. I’ve never seen anyone go to the police for giving them academic advice and work.

Thats why I am scared beyond imagination.
It felt like soul being crushed when i heard this.
I am still not able to comprehend how this happened to me.
My institute gave me all support as I have been teaching there for 3 years now and my old female students are also ready for my background check and feedback.
I know I am clean by myside.
But the audacity or the sheer madness of the duo has left a scar in my mind, their faces have been haunting me.
I am not able to process anything.
This SHO call might be fake too like who calls at 11 for address but because i am too much into it, It is eating me from inside by thinking what will happen if they proceed, what will happen to my parents, how will i prove my innocence.
All these thoughts are killing me.-

I fear the brother may be there, though my owner had talked it all but still i dont know why that bully needs me there.
If its for apology then i dont have problem as i can give that but i fear if i discolse my address and all the brother might come to my home and create a scene.
I dont know how to navigate the situation.
Being alone and confused.
Totally at loss of words about what next 3/4 hours of my life is going to be. -

UI have no idea how to turn this around and should I fall for the call and go to meet them as I clearly have no contact in Judiciary things and the brother is cleary has been acting like psycho, in the first meeting within 3 minutes he started abusing and threatening that he can file molestation case against me and all these for what?? Because SHE thinks my tone should have been lower, and to compensate i should ask for forgiveness at her feet.

UWill try to relax as it is killing me from inside.
And I cant afford to do this, living alone in an unknown city, having no knowledge or contacts in these areas, I feel .. so pressed.
I just hope this nightmare ends and my overtly sensitive mind starts reasoning that I havent done anything wrong so I should be calm and composed.-
UJust be firm and confident in your dealings. Tell the police, you have no money to pay anyone. Also tell them you have done nothing wrong to ask forgiveness for. Most importantly, ensure the CCTV footage is in ‘your’ possession asap.
Ask the owner/manager of the institute to accompany you to the police station.

UYes the owner only handled the entire thing.
The brother has been abusing him infront of maam, lady receptionist and once infront of me.
Yesterday also he only took care of everything as I was blank, i have been teaching for 3 years with him and not a single one talked ill about me thats why he showed confidence in me.
But the wild imaginations of my head with ‘what if’ scenarios, are something that i need to control.
First time in my life I understood what PanicAttack feels like, havent told parents anything as they are in village and they will be extremely worried.

UJust apologise to them, submit a written apology also even tho its not your fault. Sometimes these people just need to have their ego appeased.
Try to descalate rather than escalate as you are living alone.-

UYa best as it seems people just need a small excuse to vent their toxicity and these things can end very badly if you try to do what’s ‘right’.
I know its really scary but just pray to God and submit that apology and end this chapter. -

UThe guy who called last night by pretending to be SHO or he may be real one, again called at 11am.
I didnt pickup the call and now i talked to my institute owner who said that he has called police station and case has been closed last night only.
So either the call guy (if he is SHO) wants money from me or the brother of that girl is calling pretending to be SHO to get my address.

UIf it happened in public you’re cool. Otherwise it’s her word against yours. If she doesn’t have any influence police should see through her bs.
Otherwise a woman can simply file fake cases in this country and continue to live her life while the other person suffers. Google “delhi ka darinda” for more info.

UIt happened at my institute.
I called police and he said he will contact me if needed and didnt call entire day.
At night got a call from some new number stating that he is SHO of police station and tried to ask my details and i said i will provied all in the morning.
I am in two minds, was he real or just a bait to set me up against the brother in alone.-
UMaybe a bait. I dont think the SHO would work so late at night especially when he can easily call you the next day. Tried using truecaller or something? He wouldn’t just change numbers within hourse. Likely fake. Wait out today to see if anything happens.

UI really dont want to drag myself into this.
I just need to get out of this even though i havent done anything but i dont want to waste my time roaming stations and courts.
I want to sort it out before things so out of hand-
CYou won’t! The reason why they kept bullying you was they knew you won’t react.
File the FIR and then wait for the other party to come to you for a compromise. If you haven’t done anything wrong, you shouldn’t be afraid to take them to task.
Also,.I have a strong suspicion that the supposed call from the SHO was fake. It would most likely be made by someone pretending to be a cop (which itself is a crime)

UOkay will keep this in mind and try to focus on my daily life, i just dont want to commit any crime in unknowingly which can go against me in near future or i get arrested

CThere is no crime being committed by you. You don’t need to be afraid of these imbeciles. File a written complaint detailing your ordeal and submit it to the local police station asking them to take action. If you don’t want to go to the police station, get an advocate who will do this for you

UIf your story is true, I think the cops want to make money. Plain and simple. Don’t budge. They will keep harassing you till you have nothing more to give.

UI have decided not to entertain anyone.
So i will now not pickup any call or anything.
If it is really necessary they have seen my institute, they are welcome.
I have everything in my favour that i didnt do anything.
And he is saying that i had talked to his sister in rude language now i will tell that you have also talked in the same manner, in fact in worse way, by abusing so the case of tonality that you are trying to file with your sister, same i will be filing against you with two girls whom you abused in the caoching.-
UPerfect! Don’t sweat it out. Nothing is going to happen. Just take it as a learning opportunity. No need to fret if you aren’t wrong. Only way to deter bullies is to stand up.

MRelax man this is just another common bullshit happening with you. Prepare some of your students as witnesses in case you need them in future, take your management as a helping hand too. If the lady files any case of something then you only have to do things. Other than that just relax and live normally. But yeah for once try to file an fIR against her, which will not be lodged eventually.

Neither the girl nor the brother contacted to me.
The police officer who had come and handled the matter yesterday didnt call or said anything.Its just a stupid number who called me at 11 in the night and ruined my sleep and again at 11 in the morning but i have vowed not to entertain anyone from now on.
