Is this gift deed even possible?

Grandpa -> grandpa -> my father -> my mother-> myself this ancestral home ownership. All legal documents in hand for sale right now.

Father’s younger brother who has lived abroad says he has donated his share of the property to an NGO using a 40 year old Will of grandpa. He has lived abroad for 45 years and just doing it to harass or to get money out of me, but how can he do such a thing with 40 year old grandpa Will alone??

Does no one look at proper ownership papers to register gift deed? He has none.
