Recently bought a land from seller and he has shared photocopies before the regsitration but we did not checked whether he has original document or not based on mutual trust , he promised will give the original document after registry , but now he refused to give original documents, we suspect that whether he has loan against land or original document has been lost, what are legal ways to get the original document from seller to avoid any legal issues in future.

Better to go to sub registrar and check for encumbrance certificate , it mentions if there is any loan or legal claim on the land you purchased also land revenue records to check that the land is in your name or not .
After checking above options if your name is not there then you will probably need a lawyer for legal notice to the seller .
