What if someone sends an inappropriate text message to someone else, using my phone without my knowledge or consent ? Can it be used against me in court of law?
You know ,if you unknowingly left your phone unlocked and someone used it to send a text and deleted it from your chatlog.

Yes it can be used against you and it’s your mistake leaving your property (phone) unprotected too but I think it would be a weak argument in court but still viable

It’s like not keeping your dog on a leash.

              >What if someone sends

Do you know who this someone is….

File a case against this “someone”.
Do it before the message receiving side files one before you.
And even if a case is filed against you, you still go ahead and file a case against that someone…

                  Yes.

You’ll have to prove it wasn’t you.

In any case, you’re in for a world of shit. Your phone = your problem.

If something is sent from your number it is presumed that you sent it.
