March 23, 2025 at 3:21 pmwhen we asked for our rights we got kicked out by security (we were three 17-18year old girls)so basically, we book the tickets for Prateek Kuhad almost a month ago. This event was going to take place at quake Arena. they were sending us into the student section, but we paid for the VIP section. They said that the VIP section is only for 21+ but it wasn’t mentioned anywhere while we were booking the ticket, I will be adding the attachments of the screenshots when I was booking the ticket, and moreover, when we were going to talk to the manager, he was shouting at us and when we showed him the screenshot,he’s like, I can’t pinpoint I can’t pinpoint and show everything, but I showed the screenshots to him and he got the security to push us out the gate. It was humiliating for us. When we even contacted Zomato District, they are responsible and they haven’t given us refund, do any of you have any suggestions? What I should do about this?
more over this morning, one of the organisers message me saying that I will put a police case on you. You insulted me you told me that I am 45 and all of that, but he told me he was 45 and then he was not understand sarcasm, and all that he said that he come to my house and all of that, and I really don’t know what I should do or who I should go to with this issue . Please do let me know what I should do regarding this.thanks.
i am unable to add the screenshots idk why -

March 23, 2025 at 3:26 pmimmediately hire a lawyer and show him those messages before the manager deletes them… it is a case turning item… your lawyer can easily win the case… explain him everything quickly so that he can take evidences and terms and conditions of tickets… if you delay…manager will get your account banned so you can’t fetch the ticket or booking details and it will be a long gone case-

March 23, 2025 at 3:53 pmSome of you are below 18 and lawyer can add many clauses for harassment! Involve parents or other adults and hire a lawyer and file complaint immidiately. This should be an easy case and do not disclose your plan to them, just keep collecting evidences if you get any calls or messages and you should surely sue them for big amounts.

March 23, 2025 at 4:34 pmIndia is full of bullshit now. I sometimes think of someone harms you what laws are there to protect us. Please avoid going to such places I don’t know why people go to such concert where music is played on big speakers. I enjoy vacation eating mamra bhel in park. Just tell sorry 😔 and move on. Repeat after me I am sorry please forgive. I learned this and it works everytime.-

March 23, 2025 at 7:50 pmNALIt is absolutely vile to see people suggesting to put FALSE pocso and sexual harassment cases. Are you guys serious!!
Just because someone is underage that doesn’t mean they can file false case for any xyz reason. Do not set bad examples.
I know they did wrong with OP by not mentioning the details at the website and she should get a lawyer to file a proper complaint.
P.S : From what OP has written in her post(no ss attached) it looks like the man said he will come to OP’s house to threaten/intimidate. That does not give OP the free pass to file false pocso.

March 26, 2025 at 12:11 pmAre such veiled threats covered under POSCO? Someone threatening to come to the house of a minor seems pretty serious to me. Im not sure if POSCO covers such implications of assault, but either way this is at the very least harassment of a minor

March 24, 2025 at 12:15 amVIP section had alcohol smoking etc, it would be illegal for them to let under 21 folks in.Check the booking policy thoroughly. You can file a case in consumer court against zomato and get a refund, may be litigation fees.
About the security or manager, there’s no real outcome of taking legal action against them apart from making you feel big. they can justify it as doing their job. Most of it’ll be hearsay with no real evidence. Chats / online quarrel won’t hold value in court. You’ll suffer more in the legal process, not worth the trouble.
Also ignore all these folks saying put a false POCSO case, courts aren’t as dumb as the people suggesting it. You’ll be struck down when it unravels & can even be penalised for misusing laws.
Edit: I got curious and read the terms & conditions of zomato. they’re not liable in such cases & venue rules apply. If you’ve to file a case, include both zomato & the venue otherwise zomato will redirect & shut down the case quickly. It also mentions that all cases will happen in Mumbai court

March 26, 2025 at 12:12 pmWhat about the harassment from the manager saying “he will come to their house”. That definitely counts as a crime, especially if he said it to an underage girl.-

March 26, 2025 at 1:59 pmNot really. With a single online threat without any actions would rarely go to court. If the person continues to harass, has history of violence, then may be it could go to court. POCSO is aggressively in action if it’s SA, that too gets vetted extensively. But the maximum available option here is police complaint. Police will basically call that person & ask them to stop harassing.
Like I mentioned earlier – it’s not worth it. Maximum it’ll do is cater your ego but at the cost of legal fees, running between police, lawyers, court etc.

Add mental Agony to your statement and write managers name on it you might bit extra on top.As for manager he can’t do a thing and you can’t do a thing legally to him. If he says he will send police or he is 45 you are 45 does’t matter

March 24, 2025 at 4:15 amIt’s really not worth your time to fight a legal battle. Get refund from Zomato and forget about the incident. It’s really not worth the mental agony it gives when you realise how the system works.-

March 24, 2025 at 7:41 amAbout the ticket fraud – File a complaint against event management company and Zomato district on customer forum website.I would suggest record all your calls until this is settled. Also complaining to police about the incidents at the venue might not help much. As individuals you may not have ability to lawyer up as much the opposite parties would have and legal battels are long. Police aren’t always honest and they write anything in chargesheet in such matters (who ever pays them gets the upper hand). So think twice about perusing a legal battle.

This DOES NOT mean that you will be able to access vip section as well. It merely means a) kids under 15 get free tickets or b)no kids under 15 allowed

March 28, 2025 at 6:46 amYou can file a recovery suit in Civil Court for the money of the ticket against the management company and the manager, for both, joint and severeable liability.A consumer case in your district consumer Commission for compensation for mental harassment and unfair trade practices (please ensure all terms and conditions guidelines of the ticket seller agency, T&C of the ticket, organisers etc. to be 100% sure that it was never mentioned that only 21+ persons can attend the VIP section. (You don’t need a lawyer for a Consumer case {CC}
Arguably, you can proceed with an FIR for criminal intimation u/s 351 of BNSS against the manager for trying to stop you from trying to avail your ticket. (I say arguable as the police are unlikely to register it for such a situation but nevertheless you have lawful remedy there.
My personal opinion would be that you go with filing both a civil suit and a consumer case as you can get a good payout in the CC and additional damages from the civil suit. (Argue that you lost on the experience for which you purchased the ticket in the first place)
Goodluck my man!
